Tanzania wildlife

We visited Tanzania at the beginning of the long rains in late March early April. The safari organised by C4 Photo Safaris began in Arusha and we travelled by road to Tarangire National Park, then on to Lake Eyasi, one of the chain of soda lakes in the Rift Valley and finished in the southern Serengeti. Our route took us along the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater and en route we visited a Maasai village and a Mang'ati homestead. Images of these visits are featured in the "Colours of Tanzania" gallery. Our guides were Shem Compion and Hannah Strand, both of whom are extremely knowledgeable and great company. We stayed at three properties owned by Hannah's family - Olerai Bush House, Osunyai Lamarkau and Dulana Camp, all of which were extremely comfortable and well run, with very friendly staff and excellent food. At the Lake we stayed at Kisima Ngeda Tented Camp which was also beautifully situated. Thank you to everyone who made this trip so special, and in particular to our driver guides Henry and Naiman.
